Hey there! 👋 I'm Alex. My musical journey began at the age of 17. It was the pure and simple joy of creating beauty through sound that got me. My journey began with a cheap steel string guitar. Over time the vertical, staccato-ness of western music became boring and something new came forth. The timelessness of Eastern music began to draw me in and inspire my playing. I listen to Jesse Cook, Debashish Bhattacharya, and Michael Mandrell. My favorite vocal tradition is Hindustani Dhrupad.
